 Macalester AthleticsDesigner: Neuger Communications Group Skills used on this project: ASP.Net (C#), Client Side Technologies (AJAX,JavaScript,DHTML), Database Design, MS SQL Server The Macalester athletic department needed a way for their coaches to access and search recruiting information stored in the school's Admissions' systems. Trailhead created a front end to the Admission system which arranges large amounts of data into easily searchable and quickly downloaded information. Coaches can search by sports interests, test results, geographical location and a number of other criteria. They can then either view details about recruits from a web browser or download the data into a spreadsheet. The project was created using ASP.Net 2.0 with a SQL Server 2000 backend. We made extensive use of Data Transformation Services (DTS) to consume data output from the school's admissions system and pull the data into high performing tables and views. |
